Full-On Zombie Mode

Full-On Zombie Mode is a physical and mental state that occurs within a zombie, after being triggered by stimulus such as extreme emotion, frustration or physical pain, as well as fatal trauma to anywhere besides the head. Liv calls it a "Perceived Threat to Survival or Acute Stress."

Whilst experiencing “full-on zombie mode", adrenaline levels will increase, and Zombies develop incredible enhancements to strength, agility and pain nullification. Their appearance changes as well, their eyes become a deep maroon and crimson, their faces have a bluish-purple tint, the blood vessels and veins in their faces become enlarged and expressed (causing the veins on their face to become noticeable), and they also begin to snarl and breathe heavily and uncontrollably.

When initially depicted, Zombies in “full-on zombie mode" would also behave feral and animalistic (they would begin to snarl and showed no signs of human speech), however, later on in the series, Zombies such as Blaine and Liv appeared capable of maintaining Human speech and thought whilst in “full-on zombie mode". Zombies experiencing “full-on zombie mode" would also become consumed by their need to ingest brains, however, certain stimuli can cause this state to abruptly end; such as Liv’s fear of being identified as a Zombie.
