The Preacher was a minor character who first appeared in the Season 4 episode Are You Ready for Some Zombies?. He was portrayed by Art Kitching.
Season 4[]
The preacher is a human minister who tries to give solace to a small congregation of zombies seeking better understanding and trying to find hope, faith, and salvation. He works out of a street-side mission.
The mission's sign read: "Have you been turned? You can still be saved. Zombies welcome here."
After Angus McDonough escapes Blaine's well, he wanders until he comes across the mission. The preacher hears his ramblings and offers for him to approach the pulpit so they can pray together. Once close enough, the preacher is savagely attacked by Angus with his hammer, crushing his foot and then finally killing him with a blow to the head.
Angus then feeds the preacher's brains to the hungry zombie congregation before taking his place as the Prophet.
