Zombies are humans who became near-dead beings due a combination of tainted Utopium and Max Rager.
Characteristics[]
Immediately upon zombification, the afflicted individual’s heartbeat will slow to 6 beats per minute (BPM). Zombies will also develop a pale complexion, and their hair will lose all pigmentation. It also makes them unable to die from blood loss.
A zombie must ingest brains at least once a week in order to maintain higher cognitive functions. Ingesting brains will also cause Zombies to absorb some of the personality traits of the person whose brain they ate. Zombies can also experience memories stored in the ingested brain, if they experience a trigger. Should a zombie go too long without brains, they degenerate into a “George Romero zombie state”, from which there is no return.
Zombies have a dulled sense of taste, with the exception extremely spicy foods. So hot sauce and jalapenos are a common ingredients in their meals.
Upon being extremely angered or being given a stimulation for an adrenaline rush from pain, a zombie loses most of its rationality, turning Full-On Zombie Mode. However, their pain threshold is quite bigger than a human's, given Liv was given open heart surgery by Ravi to remove a bullet in the Pilot. Blaine DeBeers also needed to have his head smacked into a dashboard a few times before he went Full-On Zombie Mode.
Trivia[]
- Scratches and sex are the only confirmed ways to cause secondary zombification.

- Seattle had a zombie population of 1,000,300 zombies at between Season 3 and Season 4, but Mama Leone added more zombies unofficially. Liv did so for a month before Brother Love led one thousand zombies in a kamikaze attack.
- Super Max mixed with tainted Utopium causes a victim to zombies in Full-On state with no rationality.
- Zombies have no interest in the brains of other zombies.
